Joey Bada$$ is a 17 year old rapper hailing from Brooklyn, New York.  Joey’s admiration for early 90s hip hop shines through in his lyrical flow, even though he wasn’t even born when Notorious and 2Pac were dominating the rap charts.  Joey just released his mixtape 1999 last week and made it available for free download.  Joey’s style is considered a breath of fresh air within the hip hop community.  While his influences may be obvious, his lyrics are original and quite intelligent for a 17 year old.  Turn up the bass on this one friends.
