The newly formed trio features prominent members from a few bands that you may have heard of. Most notably, Spoon’s Britt Daniel and Wolf Parade’s Dan Boeckner. Their soon to be released album features catchy, new-wave rock and is streaming over at NPR Music right now. Make sure to check out the song “Shivers”.

Based out of NYC, MAzzi and S.O.U.L. Purpose skillfully fuse hip-hop, soul and a whole slew of additional influences. They even sample Steve Miller Band for God’s sake!

Maybe you have had a chance to listen to TNGHT’s recently released EP, which we’ve labeled as a damn good album and Fresh Produce. Bottom line it’s something you should check it out. However, before you do that why not listen to the duo’s “Mission Statement” ? Clocking in at just over one hour this mix of songs “sums [up] the best music of the moment with some of [their]early influences” according Hudson Mohawke during in an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine.

This underground, London based Soul Singer has collaborated heavily with SBTRKT in the past. However, her debut album, Devotion, proves she’s much more than just a one-off guest collaborator.
